  Functional Abilities:  69
  • Purchased at the highly prestigious Grand Cru Sale, held as part of the National Limousin Show at the Sommet de l’Elevage in October 2017, where he realised the highest price of any of the animals selected for the sale.
  • His father is the highly noted HAMAC RJ, who himself was selected for the Grand Cru auction sale in 2014, where he realised the highest price of the auction sale. He was sold to a leading Italian breeder, where he went on to be crowned the overall Champion at the Italian National Limousin Show in both 2016 and again in 2017.
  • His parents have exceptionally high scored for growth, skeletal development and maternal characteristics, coupled with his sire having good muscular development figures.
  • His first calf crop was born in March and April 2019, and these are currently showing great promise, inheriting their father’s muscling, yet combining this with growth and stretch. As with all stock bulls purchased, calving ease is of paramount importance, and Laser has to date proven to be very easy calving.

  • Mylord is a very growthy bull, coupled with muscling, but crucially has inherited the easy calving characteristics for which his father is renowned. His bloodlines are also noted for maternal characteristics, coupled with growth and stretch.
  • Bred by Philippe Deshoulieres, whose cattle are regularly selected for the National Limousin Show and the annual Paris Show (exhibiting the champion heifer in February 2019), Mylord’s mother has exceptional conformation, with growth and stretch, coupled with exceptional maternal qualities.

  • Whilst having muscle, this is not at the expense of calving ease, with a good pelvis and supported by the results of his genomic testing for calving ease, being in the top percentage quartile in France for ease of calving.
  • His sire, Latino, was selected to be put forward at the Grand Cru sale in 2017, where he was one of the few animals purchased by a French breeder.

His sire has excellent growth and skeletal development figures (115 and 134 respectively) but this is not at the expense of a lack of muscle.  His bloodline within his mother’s pedigree goes back to the highly noted Neuf, who needs no introduction and has had a huge impact on the French herd within the last 20 years.
  • As well as growth and muscling, Orliac’s bloodlines are noted for their excellent maternal characteristics and milking abilities, together with ease of calving. This is also confirmed by the results of the genomic testing which has been carried out.
  • In addition to his conformation, Orliac has excellent breed characteristics, and a very good pelvis to aid ease of calving, running true to his pedigree.
